C. diff Awareness Month
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is promoting Clostridioides difficile (C. diff) awareness for the month of November. As C. diff causes almost half a million infections in the United States each year, the CDC encourages education among healthcare professionals, patients, and families. C. diff awareness month coincides with U.S. Antibiotic Awareness Week (USAAW) on November 18th through November 24th, an annual observance to raise awareness of antimicrobial resistance and appropriate antibiotic use.
