Meet Representative Matt Hall
Serving his third term, Rep. Matt Hall lives in Richland Township and represents the 42nd House District, which includes portions of Allegan and Kalamazoo counties. House Republicans selected him to be the GOP leader of the Michigan House for the 2023-24 legislative term.
Rep. Hall previously served as chair of the House Tax Policy Committee, Republican Caucus, House Oversight Committee, and the Joint Select Committee on the COVID-19 Pandemic. Before being elected to office, he worked for L-3 Communications Combat Propulsion Systems and served as the West Michigan liaison for the Michigan Attorney General’s Office under former Attorney General Bill Schuette. Rep. Hall is a Western Michigan University and WMU Cooley Law School graduate.
During his time in the Legislature — in particular, as chair of the oversight committee — he became very familiar with the issues impacting long-term care. HCAM will continue to work with him this term to help address the challenges facing the sector.
