MDHHS QAS and QMI Payments (SNF)

MDHHS issued, in CHAMPS Archived Documents folder, the FY 2022 proposed QAS and QMI payments to be made monthly. HCAM recommends that members review these calculations for appropriateness to your facility with special attention to the state’s estimated days of Medicaid care. The days of care estimate will determine if your facility is receiving the correct amount of monthly QAS for the next six months. As census continues to be an issue your estimate of the days may be more accurate then what MDHHS estimated. An over or under estimate will cause an under or over payment. Reviews and concerns must be sent to Medicaid prior to February 2 for any adjustments to be made. Questions contact Pat at [email protected].
