Association Members and Staff Participate in AHCA/NCAL Congressional Briefing (SNF/AL)
A passionate and dedicated group of HCAM and MCAL member leaders and associate partners traveled to Washington, D.C. last week to visit Michigan’s congressional delegation as part of AHCA/NCAL’s Congressional Briefing. Our members discussed federal legislative priorities and challenges faced by providers, focusing primarily on the proposed payment rule recently issued by CMS and the workforce shortages and challenges plaguing the profession. You may find issue briefs on AHCA’s website HERE.
The profession was well-represented, and the conversations with legislators and their staff were impactful to AHCA/NCAL’s advocacy efforts. Advocacy from staff and providers is always the most effective, and it was especially effective meeting in-person for the first time in three long years.
