Kicking off on Mother’s Day, May 12, National Skilled Nursing Care Week (NSNCW) will celebrate the essential role that skilled nursing care centers play in providing high-quality, 24-hour nursing care to millions of Americans. This year’s theme — Radiant Memories: A Tribute to the Golden Age of Radio — is inspired by the many ways residents and staff contribute to the creation of radiant memories, akin to the cherished moments shared through music and stories over the radio waves. 

Established by AHCA in 1967, NSNCW encourages skilled nursing care centers around the country to host a variety of events that shine a light on residents and staff. You can download a NSNCW Planning Guide and Toolkit here. If you are planning to hold any special events as part of this week-long celebration, please email Lisa Reibsome with the details, and we will try to coordinate schedules so that an HCAM staff member can attend.
