State Representative Phil Green was first elected to the Michigan House in November 2018. He currently represents portions of Genesee, Lapeer and Tuscola counties.

During his time in the House, Rep. Green worked to make much-needed improvements to the state’s adoption and foster care systems. He is an ordained minister obtaining his bachelor’s degree in youth ministries and his master’s in biblical expositions. He previously served as a pastor and also provided sheriff and jail ministries in various departments around the country. Most recently, he served as the School Administrator of Juniata Christian School in Vassar. Phil and his wife, Marun, have three children and reside in Millington. He is an avid hunter and enjoys the outdoors.

Rep. Green is vice chair of the House Appropriations subcommittee on Health and Human Services, overseeing Michigan’s long-term care Medicaid services budget. HCAM looks forward to continued work with him to ensure that the Medicaid reimbursement for Michigan’s skilled nursing facilities allows for quality care for residents.
