MDHHS Hosting DCW Feedback Sessions (SNF/AL)

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) is partnering with Public Sector Consultants to gather the perspectives of people impacted by the direct care worker (DCW) and behavioral health workforce shortages. Through focus groups with DCWs, behavioral health professionals, employers and consumers, the project aims to identify direct care and behavioral health workforce needs, examine the impact of workforce shortages, and develop potential solutions to overcome these challenges.

Through seven regional feedback sessions in May, the project aims to identify unique regional challenges, promising regional solutions, and to share some emerging solutions being considered by MDHHS. The department wants to hear from everyone impacted by the challenges DCWs face including DCWs and behavioral health professionals, their employers, and people receiving services from DCWs and behavioral health professionals. Feedback on solutions from these sessions will help guide policymakers to effect change to support these workforces, their employers and the Michiganders those workers serve.

Please share this informational poster with staff or register now to attend a regional feedback session!
