Nexcare Caregiver Retreat - Thursday, March 21

The Caregiver Retreat is a free day for anyone who takes care of a loved one to relax and be renewed. The day includes: vendors well-versed on area resources; educational seminars on pertinent topics; music; breakfast and lunch; massage, manicures, and facials; and door prizes. Free respite care is available for loved ones at participating assisted living facilities to enable their caregivers to take the day off for enrichment as well as pampering. The retreat will take place on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Eagle Eye Banquet Center, 15500 Chandler Rd, E. Lansing, MI. Registration is at 8am and the program starts at 9am until 4pm. Westland Nursing & Rehabilitation Centre Residents Take a Field Trip to the Cider Mill

On October 15, 2011, 13 residents, as well as 13 staff members went on a bus ride to Apple Charlie’s in New Boston, a family-owned apple farm for over 50 years. The residents were so happy to have an opportunity to go and sample some fresh cider and donuts, that they were singing and having fun the entire trip.
