Celebrates Easter with an Easter Egg Hunt

WESTLAND, Mich. – Patients, staff, family members and visitors celebrated Easter at Westland Convalescent & Rehab Center with an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 15, 2008.  All the children, who came to partake in the festivities, scurried around to uncover all the Easter eggs hidden in the grass, under tables, on ledges, on the patio and in the trees.  The celebration began with the Easter Bunny hopping in the facility to interact with all of his little visitors, who anxiously waited for their turn to pose for a complimentary photo.  Patients of the 230-bed skilled nursing facility gathered in the Garden Café to watch the children dart around, collecting over 300 eggs filled with candy and small toys.

After all the Easter eggs were uncovered, guests enjoyed a festive gathering with Easter cookies and punch, while the Easter Bunny strolled through the crowd to pose for photos with the patients and our guests.  The fun-filled day finally concluded with a raffle for two Easter baskets, one for the boys and one for the girls.  Sharrieff Liddell was the lucky winner of the boy’s basket and Kyrah Liddell proudly accepted the girl’s basket, both are grandchildren of WCRC Employee, Marilyn Best.
